SOUTH SHIELDS PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY has been in existence since 1913, we are a group of enthusiasts with over 50 members who have a keen interest in all types of photography including digital technology (indeed this is an exciting time with the scope computers have opened up).We meet at St Michaels And All Angels Parish Church,Westoe Road, South Shields NE33 3PD every Tuesday starting at 7:30pm - 10:00pm from September to May.

The syllabus consists of lectures on all types of photography, practical nights, internal competitions and also competitions with other local clubs within the Northern Counties Photographic Federation. New members are always welcome and can attend for a few weeks free of charge.
Annual subscription are as follows -

Adult Member = £20.00
Junior Member = £5.00
Second Member (at same address) = £5.00

    How To Get To South Shields Photographic Society (St Micheals And All Angels Parish Church)

  Tyne Tunnel

  1.  Heading South out of Tunnel
  2.  Approach roundabout
  3.  Take the third exit
  4.  Travel along  A19
  5.  Take the first exit
  6.  Enter the roundabout
  7.  Head east (first exit) on A194/Leam Ln toward Hadrian Rd
  8.  At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A1300/John Reid Rd Go through 2 roundabouts
  9.  At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A1018/King George Rd
10.  Straight  ahead at roundabout and then through traffic lights
11. Ahead at next roundabout
12.  Turn right at A1018/Westoe Rd  (junction is to the right of traffic lights)
13.  Entrance on left after phone box and bus shelter
